Taxiway Edge Lights

Taxiway edge lights are used to outline the edges of taxiways and are fixed lights showing blue. The lights are visible up to at least 75° above the horizontal and at all angles in azimuth necessary to provide guidance to a pilot taxiing in either direction. The light fixtures are typically spaced at maximum intervals of 60 metres. Where a taxiway intersects another taxiway or a runway, two adjacent blue lights are sometimes placed on each side of the taxiway.
