There is a common misconception that an online ground school must be certified by Transport Canada but that is not the case. Our content is created by current instructors with the help of FTU general managers and airline pilots. After successfully completing the ground school, you will have a letter of recommendation for the written exam.

You can get the letter of recommendation from completing our ground school! Please note, you cannot get a letter of recommendation from the Question Bank. ONLY the PPL and CPL exams require a letter of recommendation to write the Transport Canada exam.

We don’t offer extensions on course access. If you need more time, you’re welcome to repurchase the course and your previous progress will still be saved (as long as you’ve logged in within the last 9 months).

For past attempts and performance history, visit the My Account section, accessible from the main menu bar or the top-right dropdown menu within the course. Simply click the dropdown arrows to the left of the course and click on statistics for the attempt you would like to review.

All the ground school courses include integrated practice questions, but how they’re delivered depends on the course.

PPL and CPL Ground Schools include all questions in the question bank woven directly into the lessons through mini-quizzes and progress checks, along with three full practice exams to prepare for the Transport Canada written test.

INRAT, IATRA, and ATPL Ground Schools include the full question bank plus structured topics, detailed lessons, and instructional videos, making them complete start-to-finish exam preparation courses.

No, we do not as we’re not a registered educational institution. Rather than incurring the overhead costs associated with issuing these forms, we pass those savings directly to our students through lower purchase prices.
